What kind of events do you play?
Live music adds so much to any gathering! We've played weddings, receptions, anniversary parties, Christmas parties, museum openings, first friday, corporate events-the list goes on. We customize a program to your event!
Do you accommodate song requests?
Yes! We are happy to search for a special song if it's not already in our extensive library. Some songs may be subject to a minimum $25 charge depending on cost of obtaining, difficulty locating, arranging fees, and whether or not it will be a useful addition to our library.
What is the difference between a duo, trio and string quartet?
Duos can be two violins, a violin and viola or violin and cello. Trios are two violins and cello or violin, viola and cello. Quartets are comprised of 2 violins, viola and cello.
Do you play with other musicians?
Due to the intricate nature of programming and the rehearsal time involved, we only play with our own core group of members.
How much do you charge?
For a flat-rate ceremony fee, we offer a duo starting at just $400. Our different group options appeal to any budget. Generally, the cost increases with a larger group selected and as more time is added. Additional time is calculated by the hour starting at $100 for a duo and can be prorated to the half-hour. We ask for a $125 non-refundable deposit to hold the date in our calendar, which is applied to your total fee.
What music is included in the ceremony fee?
Twenty minutes prelude chosen by Zephyr. We work with you to customize your music selections for processionals for parents/grandparents, bridesmaids, and bride. We also include any special music during the ceremony, for example a unity candle, communion, license signing, etc and up to two recessional selections.
